Ref: ZIM.355.TOOL Price:$15.95
Aids in the removal of brake caliper and wheel cylinder pistons from stuck bores.
Safer than compressed air.
We have devised this tool for use on calipers or wheel cylinders for removal of stuck pistons. With rear wheel cylinders using a dual piston arrangement, only one piston will be removed. The other will need to be removed with a dowel or brass rod.
Simple to use: Remove the cross over pipe if used. Make sure the bleeders are in both holes on the side the piston is to be removed. Attach the banjo bolt through the banjo fitting, using crush washers provided (extras are supplied), and using your grease gun, pump grease into the fitting until the piston pops out. Put a piece of wood (1"x4") in between the caliper where the brake pads normally are to keep the piston from flying or being damaged. On wheel cylinders point the cylinder down at a 1"x4" wood pad on your workbench to catch the piston as it comes out.
