Daffodil Garden Tour near Gladewater

Chris and I made the trip to Gladewater yesterday and found the garden which is still closed. However, the daffodils are starting to bloom. From what we could see the place will be incredible when the daffodils are in full bloom.

It took us an hour and forty minutes to go from the Shell station at Highway 34 and 80 in Terrell.  We also checked out restaurants in Gladewater and found four, a Bar BQ place , Hamburger place that has a Krispy Kream Hamburger, a Mexican place, the place we think will be the best the Pea Patch.  The Pea Patch has a room that seats 40 that they use for car clubs and on Saturdays their special is a hand cut chicken fried steak for $6.  We ate at the Hamburger place, but did not have the KKH.  The burgers were good, french fries not so good.

The primary date is March 5, meeting at 9-9:30 a.m. at the Shell station - Junction of Hwy's 34 and 80 in Terrell- refuel if necessary leave by 10 a.m.  This will get us into Gladewater by noon.  Have lunch and then go to the garden.  The garden is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The secondary date is March 12, in place of our regular breakfast at the Swiss Pastry Shop!

The second secondary date is March 19, by then the blooms will probably be almost over.
